a non-profit organization which has been providing access to thousands
of online environmental and animal rights/welfare resources since
1991. This community serves as a clearinghouse for information on
the Internet related to animal rights and welfare. |

- Association of Vetarinarians for Animal Rights. The AVAR operates
under the premise that all nonhuman animals have value and interests
independent of the values and interests of other animals, including
human beings. As physicians protect the interests and needs of
their patients, so should veterinarians. |

- PAWS is a nonprofit organization based in the Norwalk, Connecticut
area dedicated to rescuing homeless animals and placing them in
